Interviewed by Le Monde, Nicolas Sarkozy spoke about a reshuffle of the Government, at his mid five year period.
Nicolas Sarkozy is tolding in this interview that at the half of his presidency, he is gonna have to ask the question of a “new government”. As France is just taking the chair of the European presidency for one year, he is not saying that a change of ministers is, now, about to be done, but it should be the next move at the autumn of 2009.
What he wants?
- “More authorities” for The Parliament. This big reformation is scheduled in order to make appear an exemplary democracy. In a word, he wants to clear any “clan spirit” inside the french Government. For that, he wants the parliament to control the half of his day order : an upgrade in comparison of the present situation, where the executive gives with difficulty some hours of position each month to the members of the Parliament.
- The right of replying to the opposition. He wants the opposition to be able to reply each time that the president of France is speaking about French politic.
Another idea : to give the same time of parole, to the majority and the opposition, and more particulary, when it is question of current events.
- If he wants to reduce the line (from 20 to 15) of the creation of a group at the Assembly, letting the radicals getting their own groups he has been asked of the risk of falling into a despotic system. He answered that as a President of a Republic, he has been elected, furthermore, he limits the number of mandates.
